First wash timing:
for best longevity and tone retention, i recommend waiting 48 hours before your first shampoo after a color service. during the first few washes, excess surface pigment naturally rinses away while your final tone softens into its intended result.
Water quality & hair care tips:
water quality plays a major role in the longevity, feel, and appearance of your hair color. HArd water, chlorine, minerals, iron, and build up can contribute to dryness, dullness, fading, and unwanted tone changes over time. installing a shower filter can help while supporting healthier scalp, skin, hair, and color retention.
when washing, use warm water while shampooing to gently cleanse the hair, then finish with a cooler rinse to help seal the cuticle for added shine and longevity.
before color appointments, i recommend using a charcoal, or chelating shampoo to remove build up and alkalize the hair before service for predictable results.

Swimming & water care:
before swimming, fully saturate your hair with shower water. this helps the hair absorb less chlorinated or salt water during swimming. this will help with drying, and damage done to the hair that contributes to color fading. whenever possible, rinse and shampoo hair after swimming.
